Hey guys i have a few questions here, im gonna be back stateside in about 2 weeks and im going to do a single stack setup. I have the stock system straight piped right now. What im thinking is getting an mbrp 4" downpipe and cutting the flange off and putting a adapter up to 5" and running 5 " from the head pipe up to the stack. Heres the thing, looking at all the kits they have a bend to go around the crossmember right behind the head pipe. I was hoping just to make a straight shot all the way to the stack but from looking at all the kits i dont think im going to be able to. If i use a short piece of flex (like 3 ft) to make a bend around the crossmember im afraid im going to have all kinds of movement, what do you guys think? The only other option i can think of is to buy a cheap kit and put a 90 on it up to the stack, but thats alot of wasted money and material!

you will have to do a little fitting from the downpipe but it its posable to run a strate 5" pipe all the way out and 90 it strate up you will have to use the hanger thats by the trans to help suport the pipe and keep it from rubbing on the crossmember. proably best to go to a Truck Parts House and pick up about 7 feet of 5 " pipe, a 5" 90, and maby a reducer or so and your stack.....
i know im bad about this but ill try and git a picture of the underside of my exhaust its got the 5 " running all the way from my downpipe out.

Cool thanks, Im overseas right now and will be home (and free from the military) in about 2 weeks. I was just going off of all the systems i was looking at in the magazines. Heres another question if i go straight back from the downpipe will it push the stack farther to the passenger side of the bed? Im going to try and order everything so once i get back to san diego i can throw it on. Again thanks, for the help!

running it strate back from the downpipe keeps it on the inside of the fraim rail and will put it about 20+ inches away from the corner of the bed some people will run it like this or you can pick up 2 more 90s and jog it over to the corner but this will have to be done in the bed . im shure a member hear with a single stack can post up a pucture of this for you

I saw dmaxlover i think thats his screen name had the single stack a little off center in the bed and i love the way it looks. Plus the truck smokes enough now that it will completely black out the right lane. I know the dual stacks look good with the tool boxes moved back i just hope it doesnt look stupid with a single and the box!

Thanks. I have a few pics in my garage if you want to take a look. All the stack parts were purchased through Huckstorf diesel (www.hdiesel.com) They are a supporting vendor here.

Thanks dmaxlover, i checked huckstorfs website and they are alot cheaper than my local dealer i was going to go through. I was never a big fan of stacks but i saw a pic of your truck and i really like how clean it looks with the single and rear roll pan.

Hey thanks again about the mbrp piece Brandon!!
