Well, the little bird told me http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif that mine is built and the dealer got the invoice and it indicates that my newest dependant was built on 10/21/04. They stated that the shipping was to expire on 10/29/04 and my dealer stated that the trucks are normally here by then. I need to hear more from that little bird to find out if it will really be here by then. Getting closer!!

Did your dealer have an allocation? Mine did. Also the color may be why mine got through quicker.... Anyway, good luck getting yours in.

Just for info, I was told my truck was built during the week of 9/20. It arrived on 10/15, nine weeks to the day. What was interesting was that many of the parts, like the rear springs, torsion bars, bumpers, etc., had a sticker attached that had a bar code, a date, and amazingly, a time. Thus far, every sticker I've found so far is dated 9/21 (which was Tuesday) with a time. For some goofy reason, I've found this fancinating. I wish I could have been there to see this truck built.

Tacoma, That is unfortunate. Maybe Howard will be able to help you along. I bet it will be worth the wait!

DWilson, I am going to have to look for those stickers. I believe mine was built on 10/21/04, but to be sure, I will hunt those babies down! Thanks for the info!

Howard, You can now officially add me to that list. Just got back from Kansas City picking up 2 Beolingo (sp) cows. Went up there and back in ~20 hours and now have over 1000 miles. Fuel milage from the DIC indicated over 15 at times, but mostly mid 14s. Power was excellent and the ride was outstanding! Got to take a nap in the back seat while the other guy drove and it makes for a nice bed! Extremely impressed with this machine! Thanks to all who helped!
