was going out of town yesterday, stopped filled up with diesel. took off every thing was fine for about 25 miles then the truck just shuts down. pulled off tried to start crank no start, tried a couple times same thing. primed fuel sys no help still wont start. out of ideas so i disconnect the edge truck fires right up. i don't want to send it back if it is ok so after work i hook it back up and the truck fires up?http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley5.gif took it for a drive and it seems fine.


now i don't know what to do. any ideas.

First check for any loose pins in the connectors. That was the fix when that happened to me. Good luck.

Do you have Version: 4.81i?

with the loose pins do you mean loose in the connector or loose connection?


and with the version it says 1.4i but it is less than 6mo old so i would think it is a new one.Edited by: rocksam

If you look on the back of the black juice box. It should say 4.81. I think you are looking at the Attitude version. There is also a version for the Hot style. That may be what you are looking at.


There has been a problem with some Juices that have an intermediat starting problem. Call Edge and they can get you set up with a new one if neccessary.

The 4.81 version was causing no starts for me also. The only way I could get it to start was to unplug the Juice. Call Edge and get an RMA number and send it back. I just sent mine back yesterday.

I have had numerous trouble with Edge boxes lately, I wouldnt hestitate a bit at this point to blame anything on them.

this so for has been my only problem with it except for using up rear tires, and i don't know if it was the juice at all. with the version i was getting it off of the attitude screen and sticker on the back of the ***. will check the juice tom. i lied i have had one other prob with it, that damn double sticky tape wont stay stuck here in AZ it is too hot.
