I'm getting close to service time for my filter and was wondering what the differances between the AFE and KnN cleaning kits are? I have a lot of the KnN stuff from another vehicle, is it OK to use? TIA

I have 4 bottles of K&N oil, and wanted to use in on my AFE. Their reply was that I could use the K&N cleaner, but not there oil. They did not give details why, only saying the viscosity is incorrect. My old AFE filter was junk after 20,000 miles cleaned it 5 times. The pro gaurd 7 has been on for 5,000 miles and looks like the day I put it on with the pre filter bag. Keeps out all the bugs.
