Was one of my 6.5 mentors when I 1st started out with my own 6.5 had a cowl hood & swore by it, it was one of the last mods he did before going to DMAX world. Looked good, but by time you buy, ship it, and paint it not one of the more bang for buck mods out there. open exhaust, air box, and clutch fan better mods less $$ if you don't have them 97+ cooling system a good mod also to lower temps overall.

the hood is on my list but may save for after I go 18:1 CR, if just going for the look fiber-glass, fake cowl a little less $$$, to make it look rite IMO full steel hood way to go.

Wind shield fogging with cowl hood can be a problem as engine heat comes back to cold wind shield, and some debate on engine running somewaht hotter as pressure drop of air flow across radiator has changed some from in front and out bottom of engine compt, vs in front and out top & bottom.

I was going to run a test on my own before buying, with hood shimmed in rear so ti would be raised to sort of like a cowl hood configuration, on my to do list down the roadEdited by: Turbine Doc
