I am wondering if the 07.5 factory nav unit would plug and play in my 07 classic? If not is there someone that could help with a lux nav system in my 07? I read Ben's explination on how to do it but still unsure on exactly what part #'s to get and where to get the stuff.

As for the 900's nav. in a 800.... it won't work. Ben explained the reason it wouldn't work in a thread a couple of weeks ago. Not to mention it is a bigger physical unit.

Nope, the 07.5 won't work in the 07 Classic

Parts needed and part numbers:

From Ben's Do it yourself post first page, get a head unit that is Lux
15800001, 15230099, 10377531 (Ebay or this board are good places to find them_

you can use a non lux and get Machodan to convert one, but they're harder to find.

Get a 3.0, 4.1, 0r 5.0 disc (ebay or this board sometimes)

Get an AMP 15191601, 15112662, 15199884, 15199992, 15114445, 15114454 (hardest part to find used, JP Customs and your dealer or GM Parts direct are sources new, used on ebay or this board)

Get an Antenna part # 15207447, 15135178 (ebay for these all the time)

Install it all, and Get the VIN cleared from the radio with a Tech 2 and you are ready to rock! The AMP wiring is the hardest part of the conversion, easy to make mistakes, most people do. Don't think I remember hearing anyone who got it right the first time!

Had mine done by a shop that specializes in custom installs.......just be aware that this is a comlex job and although I'm sure that I probably could have done it myself by taking my time.......I wanted to let someone who does this all of the time tackle it. System was professionally installed with all connections soldered. Dash has to be pulled apart. Just my opinion.
