I ordered the smoked ones, the lights bulbs are hyper white. Easy to install, I just changed out the lenses.

Another mod--removed the bumper pad and lower valance and had them painted to match. I didn't have them sanded smooth before, but it turned out great. I also removed my fender flares.

Will you run yellow bulbs in them??
Not sure what the local laws are about this?
corona 10-08-2004, 10:22 PM S W E E T ! ! !
Yeah, you would have to run yellow bulbs/LEDs in there to be compliant with most laws.
baimpala 10-11-2004, 09:36 AM Have you looked to see if Silver Tec bulbs are available for the
clearance lights? Those are the ones that are Orange when they
are on, but silver when they are off. . .
Dennis
joshz06 10-11-2004, 01:02 PM I ordered the lights will post a report when i get them. Another trick I found is to spray the yellow bulbs with silver paint. Worked great on my vette. The left has been done.

baimpala 10-11-2004, 01:16 PM I didn't notice when I looked at them the first time, but they are
pretty expensive. Did you just use regular old Silver Spray paint
to do them. Might be a cheap way for someone to try the Silver
Tecs without the Silver tec price.
Thanks,
Dennis
joshz06 10-11-2004, 02:27 PM Silver engine paint(high temp) from Wal-mart The lights in the vette have been done for about 2yrs now without a problem.
baimpala 10-11-2004, 05:12 PM Do you have any shots of them on at dusk?
Thanks,
Dennis
joshz06 10-11-2004, 06:46 PM No pics at dusk, the brightness didn't change.
baimpala 10-11-2004, 07:25 PM Sorry, I guess I meant do you have any with the lights on. . .
Thanks,
Dennis

Gonefishin 11-09-2004, 11:16 PM Hey great pics. Very cool. As far as the wheels, I think they are alcoa old style 22.5's. Atleast thats what it look like from the pic.

I wrote a DIY article on installing cab lights. It should be in the DIY section of this forum. Not very difficult at all. No the wires are not under the headliner. You have to run along front of headliner and down PS pillar to fuse box. Took me about 3 hours and I'm slow. Just want to make sure I got the lights aligned correctly before drilling.
BTW, I bought the Hi-Five cab light kit for $68 shipped which is identical to OEM lights. The clear lights appear to be as well.
