I was told from some people that if you put too large of exhaust pipe(s) that it will bring your exhaust temps down to the point of being too cold and start robbing power. I can under stand how the freer flowing exhaust system would stay cooler but can a diesel exhaust system get too cold. And would it rob power? I doubt it but not to sure. If any thing you would want a large exhaust. Just hearing that sort of threw me off. Also what is the nominal exhaust temp for a diesel(naturally asperated)? I was told 1200 F. Is this true? Sounds a little hot to me. Any info would be great, Thanks.Edited by: project 6.2L

1200*F would be the max for a turbo 6.5L

I would be surprised if the 6.2 made over 300-450*F wide open. Pre turbo yopu don't want the exhaust to get cold, but n/a what's the difference?
