I was using a Super40, after installing the Fluid damper, it was tons better, especially at the 100-120 speed range but being greedy, I had already bought a Hooker Aerochamber. I put that on last night and its friggin worse, , it also BRAPS more under wot than the Super40. So, WTF can I use, I was thinking about putting a resonator in there or a long cherry bomb to shut it down without killing flow. It has more power with the Aerochamber.

Well I picked up a used 05 DMax system, I took the muffler and mounted it in the van. All is good, can't hear a thing, its eerily quiet. I think I losted a tad power but I don't care, the fact I can hear my radio makes it all good.

Thanks for all the input, :p:

Looks good. Yeah flowmasters have alot of drone. I had dual 40 series on a V8 S10 Blazer and that thing was loud inside and out.

The Super40 was way quieter the Hooker Aerochamber shown above. That muffler was unbearable but on other vehicles I have put them on, you couldn't hear a thing. The brap was annoying as well. :(

Oh, that DMax muffler, must weigh 20 lbs.

That thing is CLEAN underneath!!! Don't see one that looks like that around here...

The Dmax mufflers (like all the modern GM truck mufflers) are huge for some reason. I think they are also stainless although I might be mistaken...

Must be nice... Except for the stainless steel exhausts it seems like most exhaust systems don't last 10 years around here.

Yeah, we get mild winters so they don't rust as badly as back East, IE Alberta etc.

Yep, the DMax system is stainless, :D
There huge to shut up the exhaust, I would say 80% of the truckers are retired or older and don't want to hear the exhaust or have a drone on the highway, especially if they just dropped $60 grand on a new truck.
