: HTT/BD Twin Turbos
Idaho CTD 05-25-2007, 05:52 PM A few of you have asked me about this so just to let everyone know, I got my HTT SS housing charger in yesterday and will be working on the bigger twin kits by about mid June. I still have to work out the intercooler plumbing for the LBZ's between now and then before I can start the bigger stuff. This kit can either come with a 120lb/min primary (800+hp and a good match for the BD or HTT) or a 140lb/min. primary (900+hp and better matched with the HTT). The goal is to have even the biggest kit fully streetable and able to tow.
When I get it all worked out I'll try to get some pictures up to show everyone.

BigLBZPower08 05-28-2007, 07:22 PM Would a suncoast stage 5 be able to hold that power? If not what transmission would? What would the price be?
ecc_33 05-28-2007, 07:54 PM A SC V would hold the power
A SC V would hold the power
I'm not sure there is a trans out that likes that kind of power on the street.

No one said 900hp was safe to use on the street. :D
Idaho CTD 05-28-2007, 11:14 PM I really dont think there is a transmission that will like 900+hp for any length of time, especially with twins.
BigLBZPower08 05-28-2007, 11:58 PM any word on what the price of the either of the kits will be? How hard of a hit will the durability take with all that extra boost? What kind of poost numbers would the kit produce?
ZR1160 05-29-2007, 07:31 AM You'd want all the billet parts and extra clutchs you could get even still the tranny is going to take a serious beating.:D
jdugie123 05-29-2007, 09:48 AM no one said its safe for the person next to you on the street because when their jaw drops and they run off the road because a 7k truck just beat the hell out of them that wouldn't be to safe for the public but i sure wish i had the money for this

Ahh, you don't need that big... unless you plan on running some serious fuel or going balls out as far as performance goes.
For the record, I had Nathan's 1st LB7 TwinTurbo setup for 2 years and no problems running deep in the 12's, or Towing with every setting maxed out.
In the Dodge World, using a stock top turbo represents 'towing twins' Granted the DMX is blessed with a decent factory turbo compared to the CTD.
That said, the term 'Towing Twins' is really a misnomer. Nathan's homework pays off big with his standard setup. Up to 650RWHP I can't see an issue with EGT's or streetability.
However, I can't wait to see what his latest creation can do. :ro)
ecc_33 05-29-2007, 09:52 PM I'm not sure there is a trans out that likes that kind of power on the street.
I didnt say for how long;) :D
Idaho CTD 05-29-2007, 11:40 PM Boost will be controllable via dual wastegates. One in the HTT charger and another external wastegate on the large turbo. Ideally I'd like to be able to keep it as low as 65psi with heavy fueling but also the possibility to run up over 80psi. High boost numbers always means the headgasket is at risk. Long term at high boost and high hp in general the bearings seem to take a beating. If your going to push the hp levels 3X stock be prepared for broken parts.
I wont have pricing until I get the kit done and know what it takes to build it. If you want to PM me I can give you a general idea based on the other stuff I've done.

BigLBZPower08 05-30-2007, 12:00 AM i remember nasty girls twin 5 inch exhaust and battery relocation tray. Are these two things that came with your kit or that had to be compensated for as an outcome of using your kit.
Idaho CTD 05-30-2007, 02:22 AM The passenger side battery relocation is not included in the kit and is something everyone with twins has to deal with. The down pipe is where the exhaust ends in the kit.
jdugie123 05-30-2007, 11:01 AM is this kit going to be something that you would have to come to you to install or is it something that would be able to be down in a decent shop
