I have an Autel geniscan gs100 OBD II code reader and it has worked on every vehicle I have ever used it on but when i tried to read the codes on my LMM is reads "error". I am going to block the codes from my exhaust via EFI live any way but I was just curious to see what they were. Anyone have any clues as to why my reader isnt working? The LMM is OBDII right?

I have done some research. Does the LMM have OBD/CAN (whatever CAN is) I bet CAN is something new and my cheap reader cant read it??

The LMM Bosch ECM is different to the LBZ, although only slightly.
If your going to use EFILive for your exhaust, why not just read the codes with EFILive - we read and clear from every module.

Your EFI handheld reads and clears codes, use it. :)

I dont have EFI live I am having a shop block the codes in a couple days after i recieve and install my EGR blocker. I was just curious to see what codes my truck was throwing from straight piping it untill I get down to the shop to have them blocked.
P.S it runs great stright piped even tho the CEL is on
