Hello,

I've been a following a few of the groups on this site for the last couple of months (6.2 & 6.5 forums) and been learning alot. My question is concerning visitors of this forum, it is labeled for bio D, is this the forum to use for those of us running WVO? There are a couple of Ford sites that have a forum for WVO users and there is a lot of traffic on them, are chevy guys just not using WVO or if there were a WVO forum would we get more discussions going? Please chime in if you are running WVO, I'd like to know how many of us are out there. Any Duramax people made the switch??

From what I have heard, the common rail fuel system of the Duramax does not get along well with WVO.

I would not want to be the first to try. We have enough fuel system trouble when its stock.

I do add 12 ox or so of fresh VO to the tank of the TDI on fill up....

mannytranny, why do you add 12 oz of VO to your TDI whenever you fill up? And also, I have been looking into using WVO in my Jetta. I really wanna but am kinda scared that it might hurt the engine. Do you have any advice for me?

VO is an awesome lube. 12 oz before you till the tank should be
good. I do it because IIRC, I read it on biodiesel.org.

I would not run anymore than that, even in a heated and seperate tank system.

Too many trouble spots.

Biodiesel is better.
