I just received a price of 41 dollars for the filter and 50 dollars for shop labor for the fuel filter change.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley7.gif Is this right. You have got to be kidding me. Just wondering if this is standard.

It's easy enough to do it yourself with Eric's article in the DIY forum. Should cost you somewhere in the neighborhood of 16.00-20.00 for the filter, then it's a matter of a couple of minutes of your time.

Thanks for the replies guys. Whats done is done. It is at the dealer getting serviced and diagnosed for my continuing problems. It just seemed a little steep. In the future I will do it myself. Well while typing this the service guy just called. They loaded the new soft ware into the computer. He says this should fix my problem. We shall see. THANKS to every one again.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley32.gif

This is a bargain; my dealer wanted $220 to change the fuel filter. I told them were to stick it!

Just had mine changed today north of Jacksonville, Fl. for 79.00 with Racor filter and labor. Diesel Powerhouse, they do good work as far as I can find out. Seemed very knowledgeable about my Duramx.
