I have always used Slick 50 in both my oil and transmission with my gas vehicles.. I just hit 20K and 1st aniversary http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley32.gifand have pulled my 10klbs 5th wheel in some pretty warm weather. So I took the truck in for transmission service new internal and spin on filter... Does any one use any type supplement with the transmission fluid ie Slick 50?? Thanks for any info..http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley5.gif http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/hihi.gif

I'd personally stay away from such miracal additives.

Slick 50 has teflon in it. When you heat it up, the teflon will become gum. You wanna put gum in your transmission? Me neither.

Agreed Mack , baim. Better off letting the oil chemist do what they get paid for and going with a good quality trans fluid like transynd, amsoil or Schaeffer's

Yes. drain what you can and refill. It will not hurt anything to mix. If you don't want to get into draining the convertor: drain, refill, repeat process.
