Well Saturday we are having our Dyno/truck Pull. I have the stock tranny, and an edge attitude. I was wanting to unhook the edge, and try a quad programmer to see what it would do. This is for future refference. Will that hurt my tranny on one dyno run? Or are they so weak that it will cause me problems at the dyno?

I've had weak transmissioned trucks on my dyno and it worked OK. You can hear it slip out, and feel it come in later in the curve. Not good for the converter clutch, but it won't destroy it in a couple of runs. Numbers across 400RWHP are definitely achievable

Now if the dyno only places a slight load on it like a Dynojet, that's better yet for the trans.Edited by: Kennedy

It is David Dunbar and his dyno that is coming. I would love to see what it will do.

Give her hell. It'll hold. Last year at the BIG DAWG Dyno we had trucks with stock trannys doing stupid stuff and they held fairly well.

We used a Dynojet 248C

just remember your only spinning a set of 3000lb rollers and not a 6800-8500lb truck. Much less strain on the tranny.

Now JKs dyno would be a different story. He can put a load to those rollers and give you hell.

Try it out. Have fun, thats why were doing all this after all.

I will post my results on Tuesday of next week. Smokin Max is going to give me some help. He is also bringing his Tech II.
