I bought a used Edge juice with attitude off ebay, the unit worked just as advertised, that's not the issue. The attitude monitor came off the mount one day due to heat and went between the dash and the door panel just as I closed the door and the LCD screen broke:eek: , yep thats what I did alright. So I took my lumps and ordered a new one from xtreme diesel, their service was fast and friendly and I recieved the new monitor overnight into Canada, I was impressed and will use their service again. Thats still not the problem.
So I hook up my brand new attitude monitor and fired up my truck, now the problems begin. My EGT on the attitude read 12546 degrees and the boost was 3500 psi . So I phone Edge and ask:wtf:. As it turns out my Juice is version 1 and it has to have a version1.5 or earlier attitude . So the people at Edge (nice folks) tell me send in my juice and they will reflash it because they can't get me a version 1.5 attitude. Today Aaron from Edge, the tech guy, phones me and tells me they can't fully upgrade my juice as it's epoxy filled and some of the outdated componants can't be accessed. So the solution now is for me to send the attitude down to Edge so it can be downgraded from a 1.6 and the juice can be upgraded so they can talk. I should have it back in a week or so

Moral of the story is check version numbers to make sure they are compatible before you spend the cash.

I'm not sure of the cost at this point. Edge had me send the juice to get reflashed to the latest version. Now that the latest version is not possible for my juice I'm not sure what it will cost. The tech support guy was real sorry for having me jump through hoops for them

I agree....but I also believe that there is a point when the best customer service in the world is not enough to make up for a product with known defects

Just an update on MY issue;

I recieved my juice back last Friday - at no cost to me but shipping to Utah - EDGE reflashed my Juice and updated it to a 1.25 - the highest they could update the version 1.0. It works great.

I got back BOTH my ATTITUDE monitors, if you remember I broke the screen on my original and then bought a new one that was a version 1.6 that wouldn't communicate with the Juice on Friday.
And the bill - NADA.
EDGE replaced my screen and reflashed everything for the price of shipping one way.

Thats customer service
