Ok, im trying to help a good friend that dosnt come to this site.....

He bought an 03 CC D/A......The truck had many mods..(lift,exhaust,intake,)......The guy said he had a quadzilla on it at one time but unprogrammed it and removed it before my buddy bought the truck....

Well, before he got home from buying the truck he limped the trans twice......After he got home I went for a ride....The truck feels to me like it has more power tham my Hypertech 90hp D-max and smokes way more....I told him there was no way it was stock and he better get the ECM reflashed since he didnt know what it had in it......

Well since then he bought Edge/***.....Before he installed it he went to the dealer and paid $90 bucks to reflash the ECM to make sure it was stock.....He said leaving the dealer, there was no change in power from before....He went ahead and installed the edge and the the truck will easily hit 1500 Deg on the stock setting.....On 5 it will spike 1650 before 3rd gear.......

Is it possible that the ECM stll has something in it after the dealer reflash or is there anything else I can look for that could be causing this??

Truck was a good deal and a suncoast was on the list of mods to come, so the limps were not a deal breaker.....Just meant he had to upgrade sooner than expected.....

We are most concerened with, what in the heck is making this truck run so hard and smoke so much with a stock ECM.

Only thing I can come up with is, someone put higher flowing injectors in it....But I dont think you can tell, shy of removing an injector and having it flow tested.

Any ideas????

How can we be absolutly sure his ECM is 100% stock??....Will EFI live tell me....Maybe this is a good excuse for me to buy it and make him buy an additional liscence.

you could download his tune and compare it to a stock tune in the repository, that should tell you... with EFI that is

Reflash cost him $$? That is a bunch of crap. IMO
