Anyone out there know how to stop the door chime. I'm always working while listening to the radio with the drivers door open. I'm not sure if this chime is linked to any other thing or not. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

You can push your door latch in with screwdriver. This will stop it. Just make sure you lift the door handle before slamming the door.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley3.gif

The chime is produced in the Bose radio and heard through the speakers. Very annoying.
There was a post a while back about how to disable it by cutting the wire from the door latch which leads to the BCM. That's fine, but that will eliminate the feature of the truck not allowing you to lock the doors while the keys are in the ignition. That's the drawback.

i wanted to fix this also but have had no luck i did clip the green wire under the steering column and that stopped it when you have the door open but that is it. it still chimes when you turn on the key to start the truck.
i even went as far as to pull the radio and jimmy each wire out of the plug one at a time to try and git rid of the signal to chime but the only wire that stopped the chime killed the radio completely.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley7.gif.Edited by: rocksam
