I just had a stage VI installed and have noticed a significant drop in mileage. Has anybody else experienced this or is this a completely unrelated issue?

Bigger converter and style of driving I'll bet is the culprit. I stopped checking mileage long time ago.

Ask Eric!!! I meant V. I guess I still haven't recovered from the transfer case being droped on my head.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/hihi.gif 17 to 13 is a big drop. Cleaned the air filter and maf sensor but still no change. Did change the additive I was using from stanadyne to tpf something or other added some soy stuff too. Maybe it has something to do with it.

Why couldn't he have gotten a full Stage V transmission?

Another possibility is winter blend has hit the market which will also tend to drop mileage this time of the year.

Murray's got a Level 5 in his truck, I did do a L3 in it about a month ago, but due to certain circumstances, the trans had issues that were pre existing and some that showed up after. In order to not risk ticking off somebody, he got one hell of a deal on a 5 installed.. Price he paid is not important, just that he is happy. As for mileage, I didnt think of the winter fuel thing..... Could be just cause your truck is a dog Anthonyhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/hihi.gif
