You might as well buy the kit from Kennedy and block your EGR valve while your at it.

I don't have a fingerstick and never through a code. I have no cat and a magnaflow 4" with predator. I have the egr blocked through the predator.

I have a Predator and I have not seen where you could block the egr. Help me out here. How did you do it??

I had it updated to the 2.02 version. There a program in there where you can turn it off or on.

Thanks for the info.

The EGR valve is not BLOCKED with the Predator. The Predator can only turn off the error codes from showing up as a CEL. To really block the EGR, you need a blocker plate, which will keep recirculated exhaust gasses out of your intake as well as prevent the EGR valve from sooting up and failing.
I have the fingerstick and EGR blocker.

I have the EGR blocked, but it is not turned off, that way it still functions but the soot is not getting in the engine. I get the odd code, but it does not trip the CEL as my truck is not an emissions vehicle. They are hidden and that is just fine by me as it does not affect performance at all.

You could just unplug it!

Ordered a finger stick and block off plate a couple of weeks ago. Still have not seen it yet. I was just seeing if the predator would block the codes, since I already have one. I plan on blocking the egr and killing the kitty.

Did that until I got the blocker plate. Seems to me that there are 2 schools of thought out there about the EGR remaining closed if it is just unplugged. This way I know it is blocked.
