So Edge offers the standard Juice w/ Attitude that offers 30-120hp and up to 275ft lbs tq while TTS offers the Tow Tune at 50hp and 100 ft lbs. Couple questions comparing the two. Edge has more flexability as far as shifting on the fly and a variety of hp tunes. Does TTS have anything further in the works for the LLY engines? The Edge is removable when going in for service but what do the TTS owners do since it's built into the PCM? I'm not looking to make the most hp I just want a little more than stock without having to go deep into the tranny and I need something flexible as I will be towing. I like what I've heard about the TTS Tow Tune but would like a little more flexability. Recommendations anyone?

its kind of like you said, the edge offers more options and different power levels where the TTS "Tow Tune" doesnt as its not meant for that, its a tow tune, nothing more, which i think you want/need for towing - and i have to say that it works excellent. If you go that route, just spend the extra $$ on a new pcm and have it set up, then you just swap the pcms when going in for warranty work - ive done it 3 times now before warranty work, and its very easy, no hassles. in regards to other options, you could alwasy stack a box on top of that to give you more options, but keep the power in check with stock tranny

The TTS Tow is my "daily driver" tune. I've towed across the country with it, ran it at the track, and used it for over 10,000mi.
I don't even think of it as "tuned" anymore. This is the way the truck should have come from the factory. You don't notice it, but now the 7000+ lb beast acts like a SS Silverado when you hit the pedal. Mileage was unaffected, (possibly higher) runs smooth under all conditions, no turbo bark.
The "50HP" claim by TTS is bullsh*t. This tune acts like WAY more than 50HP. My dyno showed 65rwhp, but the performance increase is dramatic. From 17.6 to 15.45 in the 1/4 mi.
The Edge? I love the features of the Edge. It's a REAL slick feat of engineering. But... It's not smooth like the TTS. It exhibits "turbo bark" randomly even at level 0. To me, it felt like it was beating on the truck.
My wet dream would be the smoothness of the TTS, and the features of the Edge. But in the end, I kept the TTS and sold the Edge.
IMO... Unless you are racing, I'd stick with the TTS Tow. You don't have to think about it, and sometimes that's pretty sweet.

Thank you for the replies tbone1227 and McRat. Hey McRat don't know if you remember but we met at the tractor pull, took my father out to Willow Springs that weekend. Everything I've heard about the Tow Tune is positive and now it's stronger than 50hp http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley32.gif Tow Tune may be the way I go espically if Trippin offers the dual overhead guage mount as discussed in another thread. What does swapping out the PCM entail and what about when updates from the factory are downloaded? Also the $400 core charge is a bit steep, anyone know what a spare PCM runs from the factory or are you better off eating $400?

The PCM is in the lower left front (driver's side) of the engine compartment near the battery but down a foot.
I got a backup PCM that I can use for dealer visits. $400 is about as cheap as the PCM's get as far as I can tell. Never hurts to have a spare.
You'd have to ask Steve Cole about the dealer reflash issue. As far as I know, it's a no-no.

dealer reflash on the tts pcm is definitely a no-no, you would want the stock pcm in there for that... as far as reflashes go and what needs to be done on the tts pcm, that is something that steve will need to do with you depending on whats happening with it

Okay how do I get in touch with Steve? Does he post on here? It would be nice if the Tow Tune came with a little more power but in reading a number of posts nobody has a bad thing to say about it. I'd really like some more information on swapping PCMs; how long does it take and what about updated programming from the factory when going in for service.
