I was wondering if runing High Flow 6.5L injectors in my 6.2L would work? What mods would I have to make to get good potential out of them besides a turbo? Possibly get a mechanical 6.5L injector pump or just crank up the original one? Are "High Flow" and "High Pop" injectors the same? If not, what is the difference? Which would you recomend? Any info would be great, Thanks.

Hi-pop injectors open at a higher injector line pressure. Turn up your DB-2( 1/4 turn in n/a) and it increases the pressure and advances advance timing. You should get a better atomized denser fuel injection over stock pump settings and injector pressures.


On a 6.2L, it's hard to get enough O2 to burn all the fuel with

The 6.5 injectors are a different length than the 6.2 injectors.
You will need to replace the injection lines or bend your old ones to
fit. I've heard from a few people who've bent them, but when I
did the same swap I went ahead and bought a new set of lines from
penninsular diesel.

Are the injector lines from Penninsular Diesel any better or different then the ones you can buy from GM?


Bending the original ones doesn't sound like the greatest idea since there is a chance of kinks and restrictions.

The lines I got were takeoffs. They came with all the mounting
brackets and isolators. Penninsular said they were used, but they
looked new to me. IIRC, they were around $13 each line.



The bad part about bending the old ones is that it is difficult to keep
the line at the correct angle where it attaches to the injector.
The line may not seat properly and leak.

Think the 93 truck has the same length injectors. They are both the short version. Early 6.2's used the long injector
