First, let me say I ran an LB7 (2002) for 5 years with hot edge at 4500 ft in utah. Smoke 35 inch BFG's in first and chirp second, no transmission mods and zero limps. Put PPE on 4 and response was serious turbo lag then BAM runs great. Not quite like the edge, but no going through fish bite tests and loss of power (total ignition shut off). I can honestly say that 90% of people would be very happy, I, however am going in for Sun Coast IV ASAP. After that, I must have more! my neighbor bought my 2002 and he beats me beacause of take off. For every one running stock tires or up to 285's this will be a hot ticket. For me, I am ready for the hot or hot plus two and away we go! No code violations and easy install and removal PPE has done a great job:D Please bring on the next levels!
By the way, after five years on hot edge the clutches were mildly burnt and the tranny upgrade to a SC IV was a must for the 2002. I think that might even have been the combination that helped him beat me. We will soon tell...
If I could just get the nerve to take off the DPF and CAT maybe mine would even smoke like his! No B@lls to do that just yet.
Side note, my wife has an 07 escalade and has driven my truck now for 2 days (somthing about needing to buy flowers and soil for the garden) loves the ride and likes the fact that she can see over everyone with the lift. Milage is currently at 13 mpg in Utah ( That is until I tested the PPE tonight:eek: )

OOOOOHHHH, your a ********. I wanted to be the first here with a NBS chev lifted(just kiddin about the ******** part). BTW, who built your house? Looks similar to mine built by HT custom homes.
illduramax 05-18-2007, 02:01 PM Well i put my level one on today, i will be moving up through level four and keep everyone informed , i am very happy so far. PPe overnighted it and I am really happy to be able to go over 95, the next thing they need to do is figure out how to allow me to reset the tire pressures on the DIC system. I wish I could find a shop to bend 4 " , my cat dpf and muffler would be gone today if I could. :)
dbritsch 05-18-2007, 03:52 PM My House was custom drawn by me and built by Neil Wahlen Construction. He does custom homes and comercial work.
As for the tire pressure sensors, I run Toyo's which have an inflate rating of 65 PSI. I have them all four set at 60 and no error code on the DIC. Works for me, but I would like to be able to run a lower pressure if we can get aroung the tire sensors.
elkman1jc 05-18-2007, 06:07 PM I read a while back on another forum that PPE doesn't actually make their own electronics. Does anybody know if that is really true?? It makes sense to me because up until this point, PPE has been way behind all of their competitors on all the new releases when new trucks and their respective products come out.

Im not sure but I looked at the hangers on one today and it looked like you could hang a 01-07 full kit on it prety easy.
marksrt43 05-19-2007, 12:15 AM Not sure why no one else has released a tuner for the LMM yet........ Edge might have something soon....
However, if they don't, then looks like PPE is the first to release a tuner for the LMM....
LBZrcks 05-19-2007, 11:40 AM I believe i heard that BullyDog also released their tuner a couple of days ago.

What are the ratings on each level? Do you have high EGT's?

I am running 40" Toyos on my LMM, I took my truck into my dealer and in 5 seconds he recalibrated my computer to a 35 psi setting, just an FYI
illduramax 05-21-2007, 09:26 PM would you please tell the name and number of your dealer, please
dpower 05-26-2007, 03:25 PM excuse my ignorance here but doesn't the dpf have sensors in it for burn off ect. If it does you don't want to cut that thing off unless you have a way to fool the computer. You will not be happy....in fact your truck might not run at all except in limp mode.
D/AChris 05-28-2007, 04:34 PM It will go into regen mode if the sensors are still connected before and after the DPF. People have been removing the DPF and taking the sensors out, the regens have stopped. It's sending a code, but not one that causes any limps. Basically so far, it's an unplug and remove DPF with no worries. One found out that if you just remove the DPF and leave in the sensors, it will regen, but without both, no problem, so far...
Glad I'm not going to be the first to try this, but I will as soon as I get my truck. I don't have emission checks where I'm from, for now... Chris
MUD SLUT 06-14-2007, 06:17 PM Just ordered my PPE Tuner for the LMM. How is everybody liking it so far? ILDuramax where is that review at? Did you try the other levels yet?

I am sorely disappointed, I wish I would have waited on the predator. It is gutless of the line, it is gutless on the highway. The only way to get response is with a hard push of the petal.
MUD SLUT 06-14-2007, 09:28 PM Really? Is it defueling? Also did you re-gear for those tires?
Farmer Dave 06-14-2007, 11:16 PM I like it on level 4 but other than you really can't tell much of a diff from stock. I'm glad I bought it, I wasn't looking for anything too crazy. It chirps the tires on 2nd and 3rd shifts. Enjoy.
illduramax 06-14-2007, 11:47 PM :)
Bill Higbie 06-23-2007, 06:52 AM PPE is the way to go I am currantly running mine on #3 and it is definitly faster than my 04' with Edge and the Hot program!
So if i am putting the PPE on tommorow, should i start on Level 1 and Work my way up? or can i start at level 2?
Is there any way to get rid of the tire pressure warning i get because of the new wheels? is there a fuse you can pull?
MUD SLUT 06-28-2007, 06:00 PM You can start at 2, I did. Try them all becasue it's cool to see how much you have really gained and they all act a little different. Just give the tranny time to adjust and you should be fine.
You need to get the valve stems off of the stock tires and place them in your aftermarket wheels. Then have the dealer reprogram the computer for the new tires. If they say it can not be done, tell them they are full of it and go to a different dealer. It can be done, I did it to mine.
Went to Level 2 today on the PPE... Just wakes the LMM Up. Gonna go to Level 3 Monday.... so far i am impressed..
LMMOWNER 08-08-2007, 03:06 PM 07.5 LMM PPE level 1-5 egr block plate, mod intake, and 4 1/2 inch turbo back exhaust no cat, level 4-5 very very little smoke, nothing like my 04 was FYI
Schweinmesser 08-09-2007, 11:21 PM just got my PPE yesterday. i put it on level 1 for now...taking baby steps. :D
(stock airbox/exhaust/tranny and no gauges yet)
LMMOWNER 08-10-2007, 08:20 PM you can do whatever you want but make sure whatever you do you tune it then reset the gearbox as follows each time, reset on programmer for fast learn mode, 3 passes light throttle easy through the gears, then 3- passes at 1/3 throttle, 3 at 1/2- 3 at 3/4 3 at full, repeat after as followed with tow haul mode engaged, give your gearbox respect and it will give you years of service
rrharley 08-11-2007, 09:27 PM Lmmowner where did you hear that it was necessary to run it through all those different gear changes? I thoughts that what the trans relearn setting was for.
LMMOWNER 08-13-2007, 11:51 PM those are posted and stamped instructions from trans go, tranny re-learn relearns your right, but the transmission needs time to relearn even on fast learn and if you teach it the way the say, think about it the trans collect a ton of drive info when in relearn like power load throttle possition etc on top of when in tow haul mode, when you teach it that way you are covering most of everytype of driving you will do with it, like taking off from a ligh with a 1/3 throttle 1/2 3/4 or stabbing it etc... on top of when in tow haul mode, the transmission doesent just learn for a short period of time then stop, once it has an idea it goes back into slow learn and makes minor adj, therefor going through that routine make the transition the easiest quickest and closest to being correct which means the gearbox will be more safe and reliable
LMMOWNER 08-13-2007, 11:54 PM make sense? im sure it came off boggled but thats the best I can describe it, go through it once with your truck just like that and notice the difference then change the power another time dont do it ,drive it normall then all of a sudden a week later stab it, it wont quite shift right cause it doesent know, comapare the 2 i didnt believe it now I wouldnt do it any other way after going through it once and getting an idea
