Did a full day of driving today looking for a truck (300 miles) Bought an 05 GMC c5500 152" Wheelbase 4x4 19,500 gvw, 26GCW. Duramax, allison, 150 amp alternator, 3 batteries, rear sway bar, a few niceties (cruise, ac, tilt), high idle control yada yada. 11' Steel flatbed for 42k, about 500 over invoice.
I feel a little queasy and very excited at the same time. Western and Fisher don't have mounts yet, Boss does and I have to check into Blizzard. the 4x4s sit 7" higher than the 2wd trucks.
Only thing it did not have was the 2 people seat on the passenger side and the dashboard tranny temp guage that dealer agreed to add for $100.
It was built last week and I should have the truck in 2-3 weeks.
