Ok got a question. Can a person make his own sway bars? because a sway bar in the rear doesnt have to be perfect right? I want the best ground clearance I can get, with kits you buy they hang down and get in the way. I want to just have a straight bar going across the back side middle way of the rear end. Any metal fab'ers feel free to chip in. I want to know what kind of metal to use that will flex but stay pretty solid. I have a 4inch lift as well.

Off Road Unlimited sells a custom sway bar thats a torsion style bar that would work fine on the rear with some mods. It mounts the bar to the chassis and uses links to run down to the axle. It's designed for the fron of solid axle swapeed GM's but would be easy to make work for your truck on the rear.
