Dunno if this has been discussed before, but are the ally's on the 05 trucks the same? since the 05 are supposed to have a little more torque.

I think people have said them to be the same.

DmaxalliTech has said they are the same transmission.


There is some information to suggest a new Ally might be available starting in January '05, the Vocational Series trans, but no one is talking about that at GM. Allison's web site seems to suggest that the Vocational Series is all they'll be producing after Jan. '05...http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley5.gif
