: HELP!!!! DTC CODES

I have a 1994 6.5 TD 212K miles (750 miles on new engine/trans) that is flashing multiple DTC codes:

23-Acc Pedal Position Circuit &nbsp ; &nbsp ; &nbsp ; &nbsp ; &nbsp ; 29-Glow Plug relay circuit (they seem to work fine) & nbsp; & nbsp; 32-EGR Circuit &nbsp ; &nbsp ; &nbsp ; &nbsp ; &nbsp ; 33-EGR Control Pressure/Barometer Circuit &nbsp ; &nbsp ; &nbsp ; 47-IAT Sensor Circuit Low &nb sp; &nb sp; &nb sp; &nb sp; &nb sp; 92-Cylinder Imbalance #2 Cyl

What do these mean??? I am new to the world of diesels, and need some help.

The truck seems to run great...plenty of power and take off, and the "Check Engine" light only comes on when the boost pressure is at 0 on the guage...i am unsure of the peak boost, as this is a freshly rebuilt engine, but for test purposes, i have had it over 11PSI

Thanks in Advance.....Jimmy

test the egr "T" for vacuum should be ~25". Test the wg actuator~15".

I would look for a bad connections/grounds on the engin's wiring harness since you have so many other codes.

Check engine ground. Braided cable on back of head connected to firewall. A source of ECM lotto numbers popping up.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif

TEXAS...yes, 3 ID at Ft Stewart..You??

As for the DTC codes...I have traced all of the vacume lines, and have found no apparent leaks...the body ground from the battery is solid and clean, and all wiring harnesses look good. I did find 2 loose fuses under the hood, and put them in right. The boost sits at 0 when cruising at 50mph, but when I hold it to the floor, it will max out at about 15...I thought it was supposed to kick itself in "limp mode" at about 12? I cleared the codes twice, and am now consistantly coming up with:

29-Glow Plug Relay Circuit...but they seem to be working fine

32-EGR Circuit

33-EGR Control Pressure/Barometer Sensor

74-Transmission Input Speed Circuit

Please, whats the next step in diagnosing these codes, and what do they mean???http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley5.gif

29 Glow relay curcuit- The glowplug relay should hold.01v before turning the key on and close to 12v while heating. Each plug should have 1.2 ohms and make a 12v tester light.

32 egr curciut- the range went high or low.

33 EGR pressure control- The egr has a "T" that comes off the thrid solenoid in the EGR soleniod bank. It has a hose that goes to the Baro on the firewall from that "T". IF the vacuum doesnt pull the right #'s, beacase the egr is faulted, or a leak in a line, it will signal this code. The pull between EGR and baro determines when you get boost.

tanny code- The speed sensors go out occasionally.Edited by: quantum mechanic
