I possibly have my rear main seal leaking..I have a small oil leak for sure and when I looked under my truck, the oil was where the engine and the tranny mate up...That would indicate a rear main seal, correct? If so, how big of a pain is it to replace it? Something I could do or would have to pay dealership or mechanic to do?

I called the stealership and they said they have never heard of the rear main seal going bad on my truck. He said to check and see if it was leaking from higher up on the engine somewhere and rolling down... I looked, but couldnt see anything....of course, the engine bay is pretty stuffed so its hard to see...but never the less, I didnt see anything...It is wet with oil all along the entire bottom where the engine and tranny mate....so, any other ideas?

It's coming from the engine somewhere so it's covered. If you can't find where let the dealer find it.
