I just talked to a patient today and he got a new CC shortbed with alot of bells and whistles for $42K and got a $6k rebate from GM. I am shocked to hear about how damn cheap this truck went for. It is not leather but has trailer package with power tow mirrors. I do love my 02 and am planning on keeping mine for a loooooong time.

I think he was confused, as far as I know, there is only $2000 back on the 2005's. Sure it wasn't an 04?
BTW, nice lab, how old is he?Edited by: Reineke

I am really wondering what my new GMC is going to cost me. MSRP
on the computer was $46,000, but he clicked a button to show supplier
prices and it only went to $42000??? It seems that alot of
people on here are getting better prices than that before rebates.
I guess I'll have to wait and see. 05 gmc CC LT D/A

T7583, Your prices sound about right, $4k below sticker is supposedly close to dealer cost (lol). Who really knows! I never, never, never, never thought I would spend over 40k on a truck, but oh I'm so glad I did! There isn't a job I'm afraid to tackle with my truck, a nice feeling! I had an 02 Avalanche which I loved, but it was moreso a toy than a truck. Enjoy your 05! JJ http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley4.gif

My 2005 3500 srw lt crew cab should be in by the end of the month. Stickers as a little over 48K and I am getting it for a little under invoice- 42.5k, So shop around and tell the dealership u will only pay invoice, if they wont order u one up find a dealership that will, ordering a duramax for around invoice is not a bad price, since many dealers will not even haggle on the price. The new 05 rebates should be kicking in pretty hard by the end of this month too. And remember gm's hold back is 1.5-3%, so thats how much they are making below the invoice price.

Greetings! I'm new to this site since I just bought my first diesel (a 2005 GMC Sierra D/A CC 4x4 SLT). I've been reading posts for sometime & have really enjoyed the info provided here! I thought I might be able to provide a bit of insight here.
When I bought mine, the dealer gave me a copy of their invoice.(which I still have) The sticker price was $47,880; The dealer invoice was $42,036. That's a difference of $5,844 or 12.2%. While we discussed other trucks on their lot, the dealer told me their invoice cost was about 12% less than sticker.
Their invoice also noted on the bottom that the approximate net dealer cost was $40,020 which included dealer holdback & approximate wholesale finance credit.
I ended up getting mine for $41,036 ($42,036 - $1,000 rebate); Plus I received a mailing from GMAC that said since I was such a good customer & made all of the payments on my old truck, they would make my first two months payments if I financed a new GM truck, so I financed with GMAC & set the loan amortization to be $1,000 per month, so I got an additional $2,000 out of GMAC; Plus since I'm a qualified construction contractor I got a $500 Lowe's gift certificate. So my net, net price when you factor in all of these was $38,536 ($42,036 - $1,000 - $2,000 - $500) ...not bad for new 2005 GMC D/A with a sticker of $47,880.

Thanks she is a little over the 1 yr mark. I am thinking about breeding her to another white/yellow at some time.
