I took of my MAC intake and magically the smoke I was missing returned. With edge/*** on 3 with low fuel on 5 I had no smoke and very little on 4 with the intake on. Took of the intake( back to stock) and... belch the smoke is back! No numbers to show hp diff, but it feels the same.

I have found recently that aftermarket intakes can cause lower than normal MAF sensor readings due to being a poor design. Bet that is what you are experiencing... higher MAF=more fuel.

I HAVE A AFE STAGE 2 AND HAVE NOTICED LESS SMOKE ALSO. COULD IT BE BECAUSE IT IS GETTING MORE AIR? THEIR FOR MORE FUEL IN BEING COMBUSTED? JUST A THOUGH, MINE SEEMS TO RUN FINE WITH OR WITH OUT.

do you think it changes the air/fuel ratio or is it just a slower air speed across the MAF resulting in less fuel?
