Ran at the track last night and ran a best of 14.45 @ 92mph with a strong headwind (20-25mph, if that makes a difference) ! Ran a bunch of 14.50 passes. 60 ft times were all about 1.95 with a best of 1.92 ! 1/8 mi times were around 9.20s with a best of 9.13 at 75.? mph! Had alot fun and had to keep answering to " Damn, whad ya got in that thing ?" http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif Seems like the Quad tuner IN CONJUNCTION with the Edge box didnt really make the times much quicker but did add a mph or two !!? Im not putting this up here to brag just thought people might want to know how the LLYs are responding at the track. On a good note , compared and found out my G-tech is real close on times but about 4mph high . When i ran the G tech it was dead calm and it said a best of 14.39 at 96.3 mph. Maybe the wind was slowing me down at the track?! I would be curious to see others track times and mph. Sure would like to go faster but really need a tranny to do that i think. FYI i ran the Edge on 5/5 boost and Quad on 70hp seemed to do pretty good. Say, how much for those fancy dancy tie rod sleeves??$? http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gifhttp://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley18.gif

my guess would be better that you would get some better times with a built tranny - youre putting alot of added pressure on the stock tranny and it wont be able to get it to the ground and is slipping

Im with ya on that one ! Tried the 110hp tune on Quad w/Edge and saw my first limp (also ran that run unlike the others with defuel NO shifts) Bad Idea !! Live and learn. How much for most tranny deals?

check out suncoast or ats, im pretty sure youre looking at somewhere between $3000 - $4000 total with labor depending on what you get, and even more $$$ for the high end tranny's. I did the SC Stage 3, and love it, pricing wasnt too bad IMO, you get what you pay for, and Mike L did a great job - took the drive down to LA from Sacramento when she had 1500 miles on her and havent looked back - now if mike would just send me a cooler id be set http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley36.gif

The GTech's have always read too high on MPH. They need to redo the algorithm.

Congrats on the ET! That might make you the quickest LLY around. My TTS Tow with Edge on 3 only ran 14.86 @ 90.46 with 7450lb. But I'm working on more... http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif

Thanks McRat, I think my 02 LB7 was quicker according to the OBBD ( also known as the On Board Butt Dyno ) and the G-Tech. It once read a 14.13 at 98mph with the trans limping BAD with 125hp Edge and Superchip tuner on high. Maybe you will find sound more power with these LLYs and help us all out !?http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley2.gif How much are the tie rod sleeves and who do i get them from? Thanks !

Any idea what kind of 1/4 mile times guys are getting with edge/attitude on level 3 or 4, no stacks, and stock Allison?

According to my Attitude, my LLY ran a 14.9 at 96MPH.

only mods are K&N air filter in stock air box, dual 3" cat back no
muffler and Juice/Attitude on level 5. Stock Allison spun first and second gears off the
line.

Had the Edge for a month now and been pretty hard on it, knock on wood, no faults or limp mode.

PM Super Diesel for the tie rod sleaves. I am pretty sure Kennedy carries them as well.

Thanks guys , as soon as i save up some extra money i will get ahold of him ! Is anyone else getting their LLYs to the track? We need some more ideas to get these things up to par with the LB7s.

dpower,

Careful on that price. I'd let Super Diesel set it. IIRC, he raised the price recently. Either way, they are a bargain if they prevent tie-rod damage at all.

2k4hd, my lly runs the same times as yours, (juice only) I only go to level 3, low boost on 5, no defuel between shifts, and launch in 4x4 at 2200 rpms!

I got my gtech rr yesterday, I will post times after I get the truck weighed (want the accurate hp figure) and have made enough passes to be sure of the best launch method, consistency, etc etc.

Gtech mph will always be higher than the track because it calculates instant speed at exactly 1320 feet where at the track your speed is an average over the last few hundred feet and you are going slower more than you are going faster as acceleration is diminishing. Track et's will be vary slightly as well since the track has rollout which is different each run and the gtech is a set value.

Glad to see this thread started, gives me some point of reference to see if my LLY is running what it should.

Haven't had a chance to weigh the truck yet, but stopped on the feeder road and made a few passes with the gtech just to play a little.

Truck ran 6.2 0-60's and 14.7's. That's stock + quad + 285's

More time messing with the launch and of course a couple other mods (intake and exhaust) would bring it down more I am sure. I am happy so far with the results considering the effort to get them.

My truck wieghs right around 7,000 lbs with plenty of fuel. FYI

I think I put in 7000 as a rounded guess, although I think the truck may weigh a little more and still intend to weigh it.

What hp and tq numbers is your gtech reporting to you?

I know it gives a lower number than any other method because it measures complete net effective power.
