I think you should have two seperate polls. One for Burbs and Tahoes, and one for the pickups. Pickups seem to get a little better mileage, from what I've been told.

With straight #2 I get 15mpg on the average tank, and 18 on the highway on road trips. Winter blends drop the average down to 12 and 15 on the road trips.

How should I vote?Edited by: w_huisman

I haven't had much of a chance to pull with the 2DR Tahoe yet.

I'm still chasing bugs and fixing everything the previous owner did not.

I get 18.5 doing 70-75...

Not sure of the mileage going any slower.

I am still looking for ways to increase mileage without sacrificing power.

I am sure that when I get this PMD issue resolved it will help.

Does anyone have any MPG bossting tips, other than keep your foot off the throttle?

I pulled the cat and got about a 3/4 MPG improvement from that...

These trucks are about 6* retarded stock for emmisions reasons. Some increase the tdc offset from-.75* to - 1.90*.

I "bumped" my optical for the same reason

I can get 19 @ 75mph, about 15 in the city with slightly less depending on how many trucks I race on the street light to light!

I was getting 19.5 at 80mph from San Antonio to Valencia Ca. on #2 . I have since switched to Biodiesel b20/b100 and am getting 16-17 mpg. on a 96 suburban with 104,000 mi.

I filled up this morning went 371 miles and it took 22.01 gallons which works out too 16.856 mpg. This for driving around town from the house to work, which is 3 miles gravel each way and 9 miles of paved road. I towed 2 loads of water home on the tank (5,000lbs apx) At 75 mph cruising I typically get 19.5 to 20.2 mpg. I get about 22 mpg at 65 mph.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley1.gif

I don't think that is to bad for a full size pickup with 172,000 miles.Edited by: 16gaSxS

I usually get 19.5, and that's with the ac on. Oh, ya 250,000+ miles. I have gotten anywhere from 12.5 to 16.5 pulling my travel trailer (5,000#s), the cooler the air, the better the fuel mileage. My truck likes 180 degree water temp after 195 degress she starts to slow down....

I average 15 in my truck. Ladder racks and ladders and weighing around 8200lbs hurts.

I'm getting about 18.80 in the winter when it's cold, with a worst of 17.40 once. But that was with the broken vacuum pump. Towing my camping trailer without boost pressure, I was between 11.60 and 14.07 --- I'd say average was about 13.05.

But MOTT I'm around 20.26.

Default driving weight with maybe 75kg in the trunk, rear seats removed, fuel tanks (stock tank plus 2x20l canisters) filled up and with me as driver is very close to 2700kg.

According to the door sticker, the truck should be about 540kg lighter. I've no idea where that weight comes from ...
