: lly and edge plus Bdog pup
dpower 10-01-2004, 09:24 PM Has anybody had any sucess with this...I want to try it but only if it stacks. Otherwise there is no use. I did a search and there is really no useful info. Any help would be appreciated...I now have an allision that will handle some more power.
Max Power 10-01-2004, 09:46 PM Apparently anything should stack OK with the edge because the edge has no timing. I've also heard that about 150ish over stock is about all you are going to see in an LLY due to injector limitations. So bigger injectors seem to be the next step. Apparently an LLY with bigger injectors and aggressive programming smokes like 12v cummins. So then you can look at nitrous to clean up the smoke for racing, buy you're not going to run nitrous all the time. I don't know if I could put up with that much smoke all the time.
Since winter has set in here I am probably not going to do anything until next summer. My current thoughts are that I would try stacking to get some power benefits and remove speed limiter etc. Then I think I would like to play with propane. The nice thing about propane is you could run around with the edge for normal every day without excessive smoke then supplement with pane when you need more power. Then possibly nitrous on top of that. Of course these are all dreams until next summer.
GMC2500HD 10-01-2004, 10:02 PM I agree with Max Power... I have seen several trucks in this area where I am that are stacked and they all run good. I too think you will need to clean up the smoke some but it will be ok if you like that...Good luck...
GMC-2002-Dmax 10-01-2004, 10:43 PM Who told ya Edge has no timing ?????????

dpower 10-01-2004, 11:07 PM Sounds interesting.....bigger injectors....not quite ready to do that. I guess its back to the wait and see. I got too aggresive with my 03 dodge and it cost me a motor. Not goin down that road again. I am gonna get a pup for the speedo features though. Smokin like a 12v sounds pretty cool though!

LLY has no timing. Everything in my post pertains to LLYs specifically.Edited by: Max Power
tbone1227 10-02-2004, 12:29 PM hey max, i didnt realize that the edge had no timing for the lly, do the other programmers or modules have timing on the lly ? what about the bullydog programmer ? thanks for that info
Max Power 10-02-2004, 02:04 PM Quad has timing for sure, I'm pretty sure bullydog does as well. I am pretty sure you will also see better fuel mileage running a bullydog or quad tune.
tbone1227 10-02-2004, 02:17 PM hmmm, why would that be ? and what about when stacking them together ?

Well, that is what Aaron told me quite a while ago. Plus the edge on the LLY doesn't affect the DIC's fuel economy readings. I assume this is due to no timing added. Plus it was stated here:
