When I go over a rough section of road I get a rattle from the front end of my 04 LB7. Any suggestions what that might be? Also the drivers side seems to be sitting a little lower than the passenger side.

It could be the brake pad's next time you drive a rough road apply the brakes and see if it goes away. dave

do you feel it in the steering wheel or in the seat/floorboard?

There is a good chance it could be the intermitent steering shaft. I had this problem with my 04'. It was taken in 4 times to regrease. The factory has no perminent fix for this, other than to regrease.

try a new oem pitman and idler arm + cognito braces combined w/ a new design ISS and a hose clamp around the plastic bushing in the column under dash and I would bet your noise is gone.

The dealer gave me the new replacement shaft and so far no problem.

I am pretty sure I actually feel it in the steering wheel. Axle seals may be leaking as well but that wouldn't be the problem

most likely its the steering shaft...... but Ive had customers with the same problem, and its been a excessively worn ilder or pitman arm

Is there a way that i can check to see if it is the idler or pitman arm?

MaxxPSI, how hard is it to replace the inter shaft? Also, will an '04 shaft fit an "05? Thanks.

It is pretty simple to change. And yes i believe they are interchangeable
