Here are the vids that I have shot of the truck running the stack. It smokes pretty good at the track with that setup. The files are large so you may want to right-click and save as to download them to view for the best performance. The announcers are pretty funny talking about the truck, even when I got waxed by a 10 sec Chevy II.

nice runs, how much did the slicks lower your 60' times? did the your mph go down as well with the slicks?

11 sec ain't too far away....

The slicks really made a difference. I went from 2.1 and 2.2's down to 1.7 to 1.9 60' times. The night racing got really tough though. I kept airing down the slicks but I don't think I had enough heat in them to really hook. There was a lot of wait time between some of the runs too because of breakage, fluids, and debris on the track.


With the cooler air the truck was running great but I kept breaking loose on launches and shifting into second gear. One of these days I will get it right. http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Embarrased.gif


I would love to lay down a 12.3 pass but I need to shed some weight and be able to hook to do that. (Plus a bunch of N20). http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Cool.gif I am sure the track announcers would ruin their pants if you made a pass there, Tomac!

Max Power, that is a Grand Prix GTP. There were two of them there running low 11's at 120+ mph. The one I ran against broke, you can hear something pop toward the end.

What all are they doing to the GTP's to make them run that fast?

Off topic but my experience, the 3.8 Supercharged motor is a great one. www.intense-racing.com (http://www.intense-racing.com), www.clubgp.com (http://www.clubgp.com), and a few others show the mods that get them there. For a FWD they are very quick, I'll be putting that motor in my car when I get my duramax so I can have a daily driver that is worth something.
