The other day I installed my Prodigy brake controller in my truck. I
used a universal Dodge brake controller harness from Tractor Supply Co.
to hook it up to the brake controller, and had to run the wire for the
brakes from the back of the truck up front when I installed my 7-pin
connector (my truck didn't come with the towing package).
I ended up mounting my Prodigy in place of the factory ash tray. I
removed the ash tray and then bent a piece of 3/4" x 1/16" aluminum to
make a bracket, and drilled holes to allow screws to use the stock
Prodigy mounting holes, and then attach to a screw behind the ash tray
from the factory to mount it to the truck. I like this setup because
the Prodigy is easy to see and adjust, out of the way, and I didn't
have to drill any holes in the dashboard to mount it.
