I just bought an Edge Comp off ebay, got it for a really good price. I read about it in the the Edge site, it sounded good, having the in-cab adjustability, and 5 power settings, each with 5 smoke control settings, and a lot of other good features. Taps into the bosch pump. I guess the lowest setting is the same as the EZ. Is this a good comp? I have heard edge is the best. Thanks for input

supposidly the comp is the way to go...some people cry about tapping the pump wire- usually once they get the sand out of their boxes they stop whining.
But seriously, from what Ive heard you're on the right trackEdited by: vortecfcar

Good, thanks for the reply. I hope to have the willpower to leave the settings low till I get my tranny able to handle xtra horsepower http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/smiley24.gif. Hope to get some injectors soon. Hey, BTW, has anybody ever used an A.D.D. device? with the Wastegate pipe, and the Map sensor Plug? supossed to add about 20 more horses. Thanks?

I also have a 99 that i just replaced the injector pump on. I would buy an aftermarket lift pump on before i worried about the tranny. I would also have a fuel pressure gauge on my apillar. And GOOD LUCK leaving the settings on low!!

The comp will have the potential to smoke your stock trans. A valve body and torque converter are likely in your future with the comp turned up. I believe the comp has a boost fooler, so you dont need the A.D.D. device. Just plug and play.

the comp is awesome i have one on mine, and its hard to keep it on low levels, just try and leave it on 3 when your just putting around, and never run more than a 1/4 mile on level 5

Dude! The Edge Comp rocks! If you really want to add a trick, get the Ultimate Fueling Module Comp Upgrade. I had Diesel Dynamics do it for me with a one day turn around. It seemed to have enven more HP all around plus it fueled all the way up to 3100 RPM. Add 80 HP injectors and the HX40 turbo, I dynoed my '01 4x4 476 HP & 1356 TQ with 35" SSR Swamper tires. 1/4 mile ET was 13.2 sec.
