Bose 6 disc doesn't seem to be reading the discs well and decides to spit them out with a check cd message. Is this the first signs of it going out or can I do something to help it?

You're lucky. Mine kept the disc! Dealer replaced the changer and sent mine to the reman company. They took the CD out of it and mailed it back to me within two weeks. Of course, the disc was pretty much shot after the changer spent a week trying to eject it all the time the truck was on and running.

I'd say take it back to the dealer before one of your CDs suffers the same fate as mine (poor Bob Smiley).
