I currently have an 01 3500hd dually cab and chassis with a 6.5L, 4l80e.The truck is 2wd 15,000lb gvw. I forget what the cab to axle is but its about right for a 10 foot dump box. I bought the truck at the right price with a bad transmission and somewhere along the way the axles had dissappeared to. Well im trying to buy a house and me and dad decided we would find something cheaper to build a dump truck out of. Im just not really sure what to ask for the truck when i get the transmission in. The truck is very clean for a NYS truck and only has 79,000 miles on it. I was also wondering if anyone knows of any websites that list values of commercial trucks like KBB and NADA do with just about everything else.

If it is a regular dually, I'd say your GVWR is off. The new ones are only 11,400.

Uh, title says 15,000 gvw...... This is a cab and chassis, I beam front axle, 19.5 rims, 4.63 gears, standard 34 inch frame width. Its not a pick up truck. So no one seems to want to chime in with a price or any website that has values for commercial trucks???

the 3500HD was a different animal. I didn't think they made them after 99, but they are old body style.

I don't think it's worth that much. No axles, old engine, old body style. You may get a grand for it as is.

Well, i bought axles, and i pick up the tranny all rebuilt ready to install on monday so she will be humming and ready for a body of some sort in a little more than a week. I have had a couple of guys in my area tell me this truck should be worth 10k all day long when i get it put back together, im skeptical of that but i believe it has to be worth somewhere near as much as 3500 2wd dually pickup. I orignally bought the truck site unseen planning on parting it out but it really is just to nice to chop up so i pulled the tranny and had it fixed.

I did pick up a truck trader recently and there was nothing comparable to what i have, just older stuff and brand new stuff. The prices people were asking for older stuff is encouraging to my cause though.
