It did not make any difference in performance for me. But I was also running a AFE Stage II intake at the same time. I have not had any luck with the new intake. I replaced with the stock one and got my power back. HEMIEATER 10-31-2004, 09:16 AM I replaced the 6.6 Duramax Diesel cover with a 2" fernco cap it is a rubber cap used for plumbing. I bought it at Home Depot for 2 or 3 bucks, fits perfectly. Engine noise is a little louder, a performance increase is probably small, but it is less area of intake material to get hot.
