i forget the calculation for this, i have an 03' 2500LD 6.0 with 3:73's which seems pretty rare for the 6.0 but im running 285's for tires and i know this drops it, but to what??? i tow a 30ft TT weighing #6500-7000, it seems to do fine here in michigan but i was just wondering what the benifits of 4:10's would be and if it would even be worth it to swap, i know there would be a milage drop.

4.10's would be lower geared than what you were stock. Personally, I would stay with the 3.73's and down shift when you need to unless you tow all the time, then I would go with the 4.10's.

i tow that trailer about once a month, so i guess it would be hard to justify the switch, im sure i'd be a couple hundred dollars just for the gears themselvs, i could install it myself. i guess i'll stick with what i got, however i just wondered what the 285's lowered the rear ratio to??
