I've been considering a set of 10 lug semi rims for my '07 classic dually. Well, I just came across somebody selling a set of Alcoa 10 lug wheels, and the price the guy is asking is $2500. This includes 4 aluminum wheels, 2 steel wheels (inside rear wheels), and all six tires (tire size is 255/70/22.5). I believe the tires only have a couple of hundred miles on them.
My question for you guys is, is this a good deal on these wheels and tires, and also will they fit on a stock height '07 Silverado 3500 4x4 dually??? Thanks in advance for the help.

IIRC, you will need the 2" front lift to run the 225 75 R22.5's on your dually. $2,500 is a great price if all goods are in good shape. Does that also include the 8 to 10 lug adapters ? The adapter is a pretty spendy piece on its own.

I have actually seen the rims on the guys truck at a car show not too long ago, and they looked like they were in good shape. Unfortunately the $2500 dollar asking price does not include adapters. Still a good deal???

plan on spending about another $600 on the adapters... Check out the following site

This guy seems to have a pretty loyal following on the boards for the dually spacers and 10 lug conversions.

There must be a reason that someone is selling them. I wonder what it is? That big of tire and wheel combo, on a truck that is not made for it is really hard on front end parts, ball joints, tie rods, Idler arms, and shocks and brakes. All these components are made for a lighter wheel tire combo. That is a lot of money to spend, and worth thinking about. Your stopping distance will increase, and I am not sure what will happen if you were ever in a panic situation where you had to take a quick evasive action.
Sorry, not trying to be a downer, just pointing out some facts that you need to consider before doing this sort of thing.
They do look kind of cool on there though

Did you pick them up? Any thoughts on them? I'm looking at doing the same with my new truck but I'm getting mixed feedback. Some say they will fit no problem and ride fine, some say there is problems with fitting them and they ride horrible. Anyone care to chime in that has them or has riden in a dually with them? I'm specifically looking at alcoa 22.5's with F26 hankook tires on my 07 classic 3500 dually. Thoughts?

I had 19.5s on my 2001 GMC dually. they looked awesome. I can't remember the tire size but I want to say it was the 225/70/19.5. I do remember how bad they rode. As in think of the worst ride you can possibly imagine and it's a little worse than that. And I usually don't really care about ride.
Fit was great, though.
