I ran a 14.3 on the 160 hp tune. #4 I believe. My truck is a manual so it will be different than yours.

ive read your sig before i just assumed that, the 13.1 was with the tuner set on 300 or 350 tune. you ran that on the 180 ish tune, thats impressive:eek:

no that was the 350 tune....it was the only tune i ever ran. 350 everyday for over a year...anything over 90hp roughly is going to limp your tranny....Keep racing to a minimum especially the 4 to 5 shift if youre over that.

I've probably done over 60 boosted 4x4 launches with the stock trans, and have never had a limp to date. Im still waiting my turn;)

Mine runs 12.9's pretty consistantly with the ppe on hot +2 et, and my edge on 3. Im not sure what it runs without the edge.

its not going to limp taking off, its the 4 to 5 shift where line pressure drops and the tranny slips that limps it.

if you keep limping it, it wont. its going to get easier and easier until it wont hold stock power

Then you will be a member of the 3 speed allison club. Don't worry i was there once. Mine held for about 9 months with the Banks/hypertech stack. Beatin it like a rented mule.

i wasnt dumb enough to be in that club, when i realized i wanted a fast truck the tranny came before any serious power mods:D

You are pretty funny, that is the base tune and with the summer fuel it smokes too much already. cant stay in the Dsp2 long enough too find out:D, well without blacking out the highway for 1/4 mile.

I was just curious.

I was at 1600 degrees (or so because gauge only goes to 1600) on my gauge when I was into it for 15 seconds. Never cooked my turbo so I don't think it is an issue. I was told that short spurts at 1600 + degrees was okay but not to hold it in there to long.
