I just got stranded in Virginia with a bad shifter switch. I had hauled my trailer from Maine with the shift indicators going off and on and after I unhooked I couldn't shift higher than 3rd. I disconnected the chip to see if that would fix it but it didn't. Cost me $550 at the GMC dealer h in VA to get it fixed. My question is could the Edge Juice with Attitude have caused the problem? I want to reinstall it but I don't want to have the same problem again??

No. Do a search on NSBU, should have been covered under emissions warranty, depending on your mileage.

 And at 500+ you got bent over unlees they did something else. The part cost $62 at a allison dealer, and about 106 at the dealer, they take less tha a hour to change. It is under the emmisions warranty, 5 years and 80k miles.
