So I ordered my "Blocker Kit" from Kennedy last night and I'm not comfortable with installing the stick myself. Can anyone recommend somebody around the Piedmont Triad, NC who can help me with this and other mods? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Also, I know this will eliminate codes from blocking the EGR, it will eliminate exhaust codes from cat deletion also, right? Will it block any other codes that I might otherwise need to see? Thanks again!!!

You shouldn't throw any codes, even if you were runnin straight pipes to 8" stacks:D
Don't be intimidated by the fingerstick. Trust me, its not as bad as it seems. The main thing ya want to do is at the end, hide it good:cool: . I don't know if ya have them yet but here are some threads to help ya out, and if ya get stuck, just ask or do a search. Good luck to ya!

It is not hard! Just read the instructions and double check youself. Trace the wires twice and just take your time! Sawder your connections. Use a small flat head screwdriver to help with getting the tabs on the black cover loose. Then when done, drive it awhile before you put the cover back on to make sure it is working right. Just double check before you cut any wires. Its not hard.:D

Not hard just dangerous.

There are two types of people. Those who install a blocker plate and are just fine and then those who slice thier fingers to the bone
... i would be in the latter among with a lot of others ):h

Make sure to solder connnections if you have the ability.

I'd still rather have someone who's done it before do mine. Any suggestions of someone in Central NC?

I am also worried about installin a fingerstick, I was worried about CEL and all, but installed a MBRP 4" MBRP downpipe back exhaust last night, and no lights yet, as far as codes not sure. At first the truck seemed sluggish, but after drivin it a bit, its like it broke in, and I swear its quicker, if anything throttle response is the biggest improvement.

You might be ok, if you're runnin a cat with it. But if not, just wait 4 it. Mine pulled codes without the light even comin on. I just happen to pick them up with my programmer. Cross ya fingers!

As long as the light isnt on, are the codes a problem?

I noticed a lil difference, or maybe I was just being paranoid. IMO I would rather just not have the codes period, light on or not. I have a Evo, so I check for codes regularly. Haven't seen a code thrown yet since my BP/FS install(knock on wood). I say just "Git er done!" at least for the piece of mind.
