Looking for more HP:
1) for street play
2) 1/4 mile play
3) lower EGT while pulling hills
What are the downsides? I use the McRat 500 hp tune as my daily driver since its civilized and gives pretty dam good MPG, but need lower EGT for some hills. I don't want to pull over to swap tunes for hills.
Other questions:
1) Its boost activated, but what about volume? More boost equals more flow or just on/off at selected boost level?
2) Was reading that it could be hard on your engine, creates more timing? True? Please explain. I need my engine to last forever.
3) I thought you ran 50/50 water/meth. Just read about running 10/90? Why so low?
4) What is the optimum boost level to turn on for playing? Was thinking about 15-20 psi so as not to come on during daily normal driving. I hit about 30-32 max with my current tune.
5) Can you tune for desired HP numbers? I know some kits are rated for say 80 hp, but what if I want only 50? Can they be detuned by changing nozzles?
What are the downsides?
Seems much simpler and cheaper to fill than propane, and no tank to install. I just want to put fluid in my window resivour and check it when I fill up on diesel. Is it that simple or is maintence involved?
