I finally got around to getting the tare weight on my truck and I thought it would be a good idea to put a post up for people to list their truck weights.


There are many different configurations of our trucks and it's tough for someone to get a good weight for their tow vehicle.


If you could when you post please list any add-on's that would have affected the weight from the factory configuration.


This post should be valuable to us in the future.


OK, here it goes;


Truck: Chevrolet K2500HD


Drive Train: LB7/Allison/4x4 Electronic


Body Type: Crew Cab, Long Bed


Trim Level: LT, (no DVD pod or XM radio)


Factory Add-On's: Towing and 5th Wheel


Additional Add-On's: Step Bars, Spray-in Bed Liner, Access Roll-Top Bed Cover, and any things in my sig that I left out.


Fuel Tank Level: Full (7.04 lbs/gal)


Weight: 7010 lbs.


This is about what I had guessed my truck weighed but I was a little suprised at what my factory weight would have been when I really looked at the weights of the fuel and add-on's.


I imagine that from the factory, my truck probably weighed about 400 lbs less figuring that my add-on's are about 150 lbs and a full long bed tank holds 34 gallons (240 lbs). There is also about another 20 lbs in the cab that is just stuff. (Glove box, brake controller, stuff we put behind the seat, etc.)


I hope this helps guys and girls when visiting and wanting to know just how much their truck weigh's.

8500 lbs for mine.

It's a 2002 CC LB 4x4 with lots of toolboxes in the back plus an air compressor. Don't remember fuel level when I weighed it.

No, did not build the tool box myself. Welding shop in town did. Could have but just not enough time. I did put in all the partitions in the drawers. Still not finished as I want to add small storage compartments for electrical connectors etc. I have a seperate box now that I carry them in and want to get away from that.

04 extended cab LT short bed, with dump insert, 1/2 tank, and a lot of stuff in the cab :)

Mine is 7020 lbs with a full tank and me also with a full tank !! Ha

My K2500Hd duramax allison crew cab short bed weighed 6600 with me in it and half tank of fuel.
