I didn't know where to put this exactly therefore I apologize ahead if it is in wrong place. How many people with predator have their tranny shift hard? Mine really clicks or knocks from 3 to 4th gear when it is cold and it seems it is getting worse. If it is related to programmer, does it hurt the tranny?

i noticed mine shifted hard when at 65hp no matter how long i gave it to learn.

85hp shifted great, but i don't want to run that kind of power through my stock trans.

40hp is what i'm on now. it shifts just about the same as stock and the power level is 'safe'

Have you notice any change in your MPG at that level? Because my MPG has not changed or a little better at 60 HP level.

have you tried running in "manual" mode?

I've been running the predator for a while now, and noticed the 65 hp tune sucked as far as shift feel. I recently read in another part of the forums here where someone had used the manual mode and the shift feel improved, I tried it and I like it a lot! I've been on the 65 hp tune now for just over a month, shifts are consistent unlike the 65 hp tune in the automatic mode.

According to Diablosport's web site there's no difference, but my sotp meter says there's something different. I'll be getting efi live very soon and will have to look at the tunes to see if there's a difference or not, but for now I'm very happy with the 65 tune in manual mode, even if my tires are not ;)

p.s. My predator is the 1st gen model, never been updated.

i think it helped. and that's probably only because i don't use the power that often, and 95% of my driving is interstate.

i have a boost stick also.

Mine will shift funny every now and then with the Predator. Did it on both the 65 and 85 levels. It seems to be almost random as in it will shift fine for awhile, and then out of the blue it will jar my teeth, and then it will be good again. I am not too worried as it is not a common occurrence, but just a bit of a PITA when it happens. Don't know why though.
