:wtf1: I have an 02 3500 dually 4x4. All work done by the local dealer. Last thursday i brought it in because i had a very large amount of white smoke from my stacks. They told me i had bad sleeves around my glow plugs. Easy fix they said. Tuesday of this week i get another call, the number 4 piston is gone and they cant find it. The rod and pin are still in but the head is junk and the piston is gone. They dont know how or why. The truck has 165,000 on it mostly high way miles, all oilchanges on time, every 5 no idiot lights or anything funny happened. The dealer said GM will give me 1500 towards a new motor or a new truck. Help me stay all chevy. Can some one tell me how or why this happened

What other mods have been done to the truck?
I could be wrong, but I don't think that the glow plugs have sleeves.
