...there is no mention of the LLY Duramax and the power figures listed for the Duramax remain the same at 300hp/520 lb-ft of torque. I know that insiders have posted some information here but everything in prints seems to point to no hp/tq changes. It does mention 265 tires. Any updated "Insider" information or has anyone spoken with a dealership and gotten any additional information.

No insider info, but heres a link http://media.gm.com/division/gmc/index.html (click the sierra pic then the HD specs on the left) with '04 info that shows the shortbed gassers with a 35.9 gallon tank, and longbed gassers and all diesels with a 34 gallon tank (scroll down towards bottom of page). Probably a typo.http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Confused.gif

OT kind of…
The 3500SRW trucks will be equipped with 265s, anyone know what the load rating on those tires will be? What about those of you with 2500HDs, what are your 245s rated for?

245E -16 BFG AT are 3042#/tire @ 80 psi
265D-16 BFG AT are 3042#/tire @ 65 psi
285D-16 BFG AT are 3305#/ tire @ 65 psi
285D-17 BFG AT are 3195#/ tire @ 65 psi
315D-17 BFG AT H2 wheels are 3195#/ tire @ 50 psi
The larger tires have more weight capacity in a D instead of E and lower pressure to carry the load, hence should result in better ride.
Buckshot has a MT 265/85R-16 that is E rated
I've run the 265 and 285 -16 and now have 285-17 on my truck.
As for the 3500 SRW I was trying to get a new truck last nite (end of extra $1000 employee bonus) and the dealer doing the dealer trade took 8 hours to tell my dealer the truck had 2500 miles on it http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Angry.gif
I wanted to get an 04 now then order another for April w/ the LLY motor.
My dealer said he could start ordering the 3500 SRW in mid November and if I wanted he would order me one.
I was searching for trucks myself on buypower and I found a couple of GMC but the STUPID dealers ordered a truck w/o a tow package http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Angry.gif who would do something like thatEdited by: Dmax Tim

Since I get new trucks all the time I have enough crap to move from on to the next.
Do they still have tow/haul w/o the factory trailer hitch.
I've never looked in a HD (lots of them) that didn't have factory tow package.Edited by: Dmax Tim

A friend of mine has a 2002 2500 LD. No tow package, no tow haul mode. Probably some other things lighter duty too. He said his wife's Tahoe (GM SUV) has the tow/haul feature.Edited by: Duallyvette

No Allison transmission in that truck, no tow/haul in that truck.

I found on GM site that the 3500SRW is coming w/ 265/75R-16E OOR tires.
Only get the 9900GVW.
The LLY is listed w/ the old LB7 #s except the peak torque is at 1600rpm and the peak HP is at 3000rpm.
LLY is only w/ Allison and SRW
LB7 is DRW

I wish GM would OFFICIALLY release some information on the LLY Duramax besides just acknowledging it. Atleast we know the SRW is for real! http://www.dieselplace.com/forum/smileys/Clap.gif
